This part of the course is where we are asked to keep a journal, to reflect on our practices, but in a more private manner. I will admit, this is the first time I have ever kept a journal, and I struggled with it to begin with. I didn't know where to start!
Then I realised, writing a journal, is like writing a diary, but you talk about a specific subject, in this case for me; dance. I have now been writing in my journal for the past couple of weeks, and will continue to do so, so that I can get as many entries to reflect on and look back at.
I have said in a previous blog, that I am on-the-go quite a lot, so to help me make sure I don't miss anything that I would like to put in my journal, I have also got an app which is an online journal, and I am finding that very useful, so that when I get home of an evening I am already with all my information for my entry when I sit down and write.
As I am still finding my feet with journal writing, I am constantly researching and looking at different ways to write. This I will continue to do, and I really want to focus on in depth reflections of each day to progress.
